Senior Analyst, Commercial Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the development, maintenance, and enhancement of revenue and commercial operating expense forecasts.

• Evaluate actual outcomes against plans, forecasts, and historical data; pinpoint and assess variance drivers while recommending actionable steps.

• Manage deliverables related to annual operating planning, long-term planning, forecast updates, scenario analysis, and variance assessments.

• Create and refine financial models, reporting mechanisms, and analytical tools.

• Analyze extensive and intricate datasets, reconcile information, rectify discrepancies, and uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Oversee recurring and ad hoc reporting on revenue, revenue per test, volume, commercial operating expenses, and other key metrics.

• Prepare financial materials, narratives, exhibits, and supporting schedules for executive and Board-level presentations.

• Direct financial modeling and business-case development for commercial initiatives, investments, and growth prospects.

• Collaborate with Commercial and cross-functional partners to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

• Work alongside Enterprise Analytics to enhance data quality, reporting tools, dashboards, and analytical frameworks.

• Identify emerging risks and opportunities, recommending suitable actions or further analysis.

• Ensure documentation, controls, and quality standards for forecasts, models, analyses, and reporting processes are maintained.

• Independently manage various priorities and adapting business needs while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and analytical integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• Relevant experience in FP&A, investor relations, strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, or another analytically demanding finance environment is essential.

• Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and developing business cases.

• Capability to assess assumptions, structure ambiguous questions, and convey conclusions effectively.

• Experience in analyzing financial and operational performance, including revenue, volume, unit economics, and business drivers.

• Advanced analytical skills with large and complex datasets.

• Background in supporting annual planning, long-term planning, scenario analysis, variance analysis, and regular management reporting.

• Strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and executive-level communication.

• Experience in preparing clear, concise, and decision-oriented materials for senior leadership.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory testing, life sciences, reimbursement, or complex revenue environments is strongly preferred.

• Experience with Board-level materials is preferred.
