Senior Analyst, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and assist with Signify Health's accounting functions, encompassing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the complete revenue cycle, RCM/Claims, accounts receivable, intercompany, and cash operations, including the relevant systems, data flows, and controls.

• Prepare, review, and record intricate journal entries.

• Convert revenue from RCM into a journal upload template compatible with SAP.

• Prepare and reconcile intercompany activities related to accounts receivable.

• Detect and rectify discrepancies while collaborating with counterparties across various entities.

• Conduct flux analysis on revenue, accounts receivable, cash, intercompany, and associated balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Investigate significant or atypical variances and provide appropriate explanations.

• Assist in RCM/Claims accounting procedures and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.

• Prepare and sustain account reconciliations, roll forwards, schedules, and close support documentation.

• Manage and analyze extensive Excel datasets while maintaining journal-entry upload mappings or related templates.

• Identify process deficiencies, control risks, and root causes; propose and implement enhancements.

• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, RCM Team, and other business units.

• Consistently apply U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent accounting, revenue accounting, or finance experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in financial closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, or similar accounting practices.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with ERP systems.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation, and handling large datasets.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to operate independently, prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

• Preferred: Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, SQL, or similar tools.

• Preferred: Background in healthcare, technology, or related industries.

• Preferred: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining accounting issues and financial outcomes to cross-functional stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
