Senior Algorithm Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Engage in and lead the complete lifecycle of biosignal-based algorithm development for medical devices, encompassing specifications and requirements gathering, data curation and labeling, development, failure analysis, production, maintenance, and documentation.

• Choose, implement, and create the most suitable method for each challenge, including identifying when to utilize deep learning techniques as opposed to other approaches.

• Enhance internal deep learning and machine learning tools, introduce new model architectures and algorithmic strategies, and optimize the codebase for reusability and expedited experimentation.

• Promote and refine best practices for user-friendly, well-documented, thoroughly tested algorithm implementations, which include unit tests, comprehensive documentation, continuous integration, and non-regression testing.

• Present findings to key stakeholders and assist them in leveraging algorithms for client engagement.

• Support client-focused projects to comprehend and influence the impact of Beacon algorithms on customers and future algorithm development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional experience in machine learning and deep learning, particularly within health sciences or other regulated sectors.

• Demonstrated success in bringing algorithms into production.

• Experience in digital signal processing (DSP) and statistics.

• Proficient in PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks for training, developing, and deploying deep learning models.

• Familiar with current advancements in deep learning, including Transformer/ViT, large-scale modeling, and large model training.

• Understanding of software and machine learning engineering best practices, such as testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, Dockerization, CI/CD, and experiment tracking.

• Knowledge of biosignals, medical imaging data, or extensive time-series datasets, or a strong willingness to learn in this domain.

• Capability to discuss and present intricate technical topics appropriately for both internal and external audiences.

• Eager to be involved in the complete algorithm development lifecycle, including scoping, data wrangling, experimentation, formal validation, quality/regulatory documentation, production deployment, and client collaboration.
