Senior AI Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, estimate, develop, test, document, and maintain components of a commercial on-premises enterprise software product.

• Engage with a C#/.NET and C++ codebase, contributing to both new development and the maintenance of existing product components.

• Advocate for the adoption of AI-assisted software development practices within the project team.

• Assess, introduce, and implement best practices for AI coding agents and agentic development workflows.

• Identify opportunities to enhance developer productivity, code quality, automated testing, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and delivery through the use of AI-powered development tools.

• Mentor and guide team members in the effective, responsible, and secure use of AI coding tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Participate in all phases of Agile/SCRUM delivery, including design discussions, implementation, code reviews, testing, and release readiness.

• Create maintainable code using software engineering best practices, static analysis, automated testing, and continuous integration.

• Contribute to component design, technical decision-making, and take ownership of key product functionalities.

• Collaborate with product management, quality engineering, support, and fellow developers to deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in C# and .NET development.

• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Familiarity with Claude Code, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar AI-powered development platforms.

• Proven professional experience using AI coding agents, AI-assisted software development tools, or agentic development workflows.

• Demonstrated capability to utilize AI coding tools to enhance software development productivity, code quality, testing, debugging, refactoring, or technical documentation.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar DevOps tools, including test integration within the development pipeline.

• Proficiency in unit testing, mocking, automation, integration testing, code coverage, code reviews, and continuous integration.

• Strong skills in object-oriented design, debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving.

• Experience working within Agile development teams and SCRUM-based delivery environments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a team setting.

• Leadership experience, mentoring abilities, or ownership of component-level design and delivery.

• Professional experience in C++ development within a commercial software environment.

• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange, Office 365, SharePoint, IIS, DNS, OneDrive, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar Microsoft technologies.

• Experience with Windows networking infrastructure, virtualization technologies such as Azure VMs, and enterprise deployment environments.

• Knowledge of securing APIs, dependency injection, and secure software development practices.

• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or HTML.
