Senior AI Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Lead the delivery of tailored data and AI platforms for institutional real estate owners, operators, and fund managers.

• Take ownership of fixed-fee, fixed-date projects lasting approximately sixteen weeks as the primary day-to-day lead.

• Oversee the complete product development lifecycle, including discovery workshops, data mapping, platform construction, views, training, and handover.

• Establish gate criteria, evidence, and client acceptance prior to signature.

• Convert ambitious project scope into manageable deliverables for one cycle and handle changes to maintain fixed fees.

• Set a value baseline with client finance and track measurement against it.

• Direct source mapping, data quality rules, exception routing, lineage, and locked snapshots.

• Facilitate workshops with asset management, finance, investor relations, deal teams, and technology.

• Transform stakeholder feedback into view specifications, KPI definitions, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with engineering and data science teams on agent-based mapping, document extraction, cited-source retrieval, and drafted commentary.

• Ensure reported financial figures are based on fixed, auditable calculations approved by the client.

• Act as the primary working-level contact for executive sponsors, business owners, and technology leads.

• Clearly report progress and identify issues early.

• Plan history migration, parallel runs, and sign-offs for retiring existing systems.

• Train teams by role and transfer documentation and operational knowledge to the client's platform owner.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in product management with hands-on involvement in every phase of the product development lifecycle, delivering custom software for external clients.

• At least 2 years of experience working within or directly serving institutional real estate.

• Proficient in reading a rent roll, operating statement, budget vs actual, T-12, loan abstract, and JV waterfall summary.

• Understanding of WALT, DSCR, NOI, and the distinction between equity funded vs committed.

• Hands-on experience with property accounting systems such as Yardi, MRI, or RealPage.

• Familiarity with platforms like Juniper Square, Altrio, VTS, ARGUS, or a portfolio and asset management system like Pereview.

• Experience in delivering a data warehouse, data lake, reporting, or BI product.

• Ability to make informed product decisions concerning ingestion, mapping, reconciliation, data quality rules, exception handling, lineage, and immutable snapshots.

• Strong understanding of LLM-based extraction, retrieval with cited sources, agent workflows, and human-in-the-loop approval processes.

• Capable of transforming business requirements into specifications for design and engineering.

• Familiarity with Azure, Fabric or Synapse, Power BI, single sign-on, role and fund-level permissions, audit logging, and test environments.

• Proven track record with milestone or gate-based fixed-fee consulting projects.

• 5 to 7+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

• Comfortable engaging with CFOs, COOs, heads of asset management, and heads of technology.

• Skilled in defining KPIs, analyzing data, identifying discrepancies between actuals and plans, and making evidence-based decisions.

• Proficient in GSuite, ClickUp, Figma, and Jira.

• Availability to overlap with US Eastern business hours.

• Experience in retiring or replacing an existing platform by a contract date, including conducting a parallel run (strongly preferred).

• Familiarity with quarterly investor reporting, fund-level reporting, or DDQ response processes (strongly preferred).

• Experience in data governance, including ownership models, stewardship, and business approval of mappings and thresholds (strongly preferred).
