This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong, +4 more countries.
• Take ownership of specific business domains from start to finish, encompassing underlying data, definitions, dashboards, and stakeholder relationships.
• Conduct pricing and cost-saving analyses, forecasting, in-depth client evaluations, and commercial proposals.
• Discover and assess revenue opportunities and growth strategies, including pricing optimization, upsell/cross-sell potential, retention factors, and margin enhancement.
• Convert analyses into straightforward recommendations for business leaders.
• Collaborate with business teams as integrated decision support during meetings and decision-making processes.
• Transform recurring inquiries into permanent solutions through new columns, dashboards, or documentation.
• Design and maintain approved views and metric definitions within the Snowflake semantic layer.
• Develop and sustain Metabase dashboards.
• Verify dashboard figures, align them with Finance-controlled figures, and troubleshoot discrepancies to their source.
• Oversee enablement documentation, training sessions, weekly office hours, and Slack support.
• Work in partnership with Data Engineering on data ingestion and modeling decisions.
• Collaborate with Data Product Managers regarding priorities and implementation.
• Report to the Analytics Lead within the Data & Analytics functional team.
• Over 8 years of experience in analytics engineering or analytics roles.
• Comprehensive ownership of a business domain’s data, metrics, and reporting.
• Strong analytical judgment with the ability to convert ambiguous business questions into structured, actionable answers.
• Competence in partnering credibly with commercial, finance, or risk teams.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling fundamentals.
• Experience in building or maintaining semantic or metrics layers.
• Practical experience with Snowflake and Metabase.
• Familiarity with validation, reconciliation, and tracing discrepancies to their sources.
• Exceptional documentation skills and the ability to train non-technical stakeholders to self-serve.
• Proven track record in generating revenue and opportunity insights through pricing, profitability, or growth analyses.
• Experience in the fintech, payments, or card-issuing domain is a plus.
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation and testing frameworks is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Python or another scripting language for validation and automation is beneficial.
• Interest or experience in AI-assisted analytics, LLM tooling, skill/prompt design, or text-to-SQL is a plus.
• Experience contributing to data governance, including access models, PII handling, and naming conventions, is advantageous.
• A history of developing revenue or opportunity dashboards, pricing models, or commercial scorecards is a plus.
