Senior Agile Scrum Master – Remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, technical teams, and program leadership to grasp business goals, processes, and technology requirements.

• Gather, analyze, document, and verify functional and technical specifications.

• Develop and uphold epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, process flows, and accompanying documentation.

• Craft clear, detailed, and testable user stories for development and QA teams.

• Act as ScrumMaster for one or more Agile development teams.

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Set priorities and maintain healthy product backlogs.

• Drive sprint execution, monitor commitments, identify risks and dependencies, and eliminate obstacles.

• Utilize JIRA to oversee epics, user stories, tasks, defects, sprint boards, workflows, dashboards, and Agile metrics.

• Assist with User Acceptance Testing, including test planning, coordination, defect tracking, business-user communication, and readiness/status reporting.

• Collaborate with technical teams on system architecture, integrations, APIs, applications, data flows, environments, and technical dependencies.

• Convert technical and business requirements into actionable Agile work items.

• Support program and project management tasks, such as status reporting, RAID tracking, dependency management, milestone tracking, resource coordination, and executive-level reporting.

• Coordinate delivery efforts across multiple workstreams.

• Monitor Agile metrics like velocity, throughput, cycle time, sprint health, backlog health, and defect trends.

• Facilitate issue resolution and escalate risks and blockers as necessary.

• Advocate for Agile best practices, continuous improvement, transparency, accountability, and collaboration.

• Assist with release planning, production readiness, deployment coordination, and post-release activities.

• Maintain project and delivery documentation to provide visibility into progress, risks, and milestones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with substantial experience as a ScrumMaster.

• Deep understanding of Scrum, Agile, Kanban, SDLC, and software delivery methodologies.

• Proven experience supporting technical software development teams.

• Strong hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence, including dashboards, workflows, reporting, and Agile boards.

• Experience in coordinating and supporting UAT, including test planning, execution, defect management, and business stakeholder coordination.

• Strong comprehension of technical concepts such as applications, databases, APIs, system integrations, environments, and software development lifecycles.

• Experience in supporting program/project management activities across various workstreams.

• Extensive experience managing dependencies, risks, issues, action items, and delivery milestones.

• Exceptional facilitation, communication, organization, and stakeholder-management abilities.

• Capability to work effectively with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

• Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust.

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.

• PMP, PMI-ACP, or other project/program management certification is preferred.

• Experience with large-scale enterprise technology programs is preferred.

• Familiarity with Agile transformation or process improvement initiatives is preferred.

• Experience with tools such as Confluence, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar technology platforms is preferred.

• Experience in creating executive-level status reports, dashboards, and delivery metrics is preferred.

• Experience in highly regulated or complex enterprise environments is preferred.
