Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and execution of development and sustainment activities for one or more Integrated Teams.

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Collaborate with Government Product Owners to manage and prioritize the product backlog, communicate progress, and eliminate blockers.

• Oversee daily development support operations involving both on-site and remote personnel.

• Coordinate dependencies across teams and resolve any scheduling conflicts.

• Ensure performance targets are achieved and deliverables are submitted punctually.

• Maintain program plans, reports, and the Integrated Master Schedule in collaboration with the Program Manager.

• Ensure team involvement in Government-directed meetings, governance reviews, and reporting activities.

• Execute change management and uphold transparency through strategic communications.

• Capture, track, and resolve issues and action items effectively.

• Keep current and accessible documentation available on the Government-directed collaboration site.

• Interface with Government Product Owners, System Engineers, and Test Authorities regarding team status and sprint execution.

• Facilitate Scrum-of-Scrums or equivalent cross-team coordination ceremonies.

• Support the tracking of team velocity, sprint metrics, and delivery trends.

• Contribute team-level performance data to status reports and program reviews.

• Advocate for continuous improvement through process refinements driven by retrospectives.

• Coordinate with the DevSecOps Lead on pipeline cadence, automated test coverage, and deployment readiness.

• Assist in the onboarding of new team members into team processes, tools, and collaboration environments.

• Promote shared ownership, transparency, and iterative improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.

• Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is required at the time of hire; certification must be current and in good standing.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or agile team lead on DoD or Federal IT programs.

• Proven experience in facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, managing product backlogs in coordination with Product Owners, and removing impediments for development and sustainment teams.

• Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate development and sustainment activities across distributed, multi-location teams using Agile Scrum methodology and DevSecOps practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to maintain transparency with Government stakeholders through regular and ad hoc reporting and status meetings.

• Familiarity with DoD IT program delivery requirements, cybersecurity expectations, and quality management best practices.

• Experience maintaining program documentation on Government-directed collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or equivalent).

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

• Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT-II or higher certification must be obtained at the time of hire, including qualifying certifications such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, GICSP, CND, CASP+ CE, CISSP, CISA, CCNP Security, GCED, or GCIH.

• SAFe certification or experience in a scaled agile delivery environment is preferred.

• Experience directing agile team activities for projects utilizing Oracle technology stacks is preferred.

• Familiarity with Oracle ERP environments, OCI-hosted applications, or enterprise IT sustainment programs is preferred.

• Experience using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent Government-directed platforms is preferred.

• Experience coordinating Scrum-of-Scrums or PI Planning events across multiple Integrated Teams on a large DoD program is preferred.

• Additional agile certifications such as CSPO, CSP, or PMI-ACP are preferred.

• Familiarity with DoD RMF, ATO processes, and cybersecurity requirements is preferred.
