Senior Actuary – Employer Health Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, and supervise advanced actuarial models to assess risk, formulate pricing strategies, and maximize profitability.

• Create and evaluate innovative product concepts for specialized, intricate, and strategically important initiatives.

• Perform advanced statistical analysis on large datasets.

• Identify trends, evaluate risk exposures, and produce actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

• Compose detailed actuarial reports and recommendations.

• Convey complex actuarial findings and methodologies to varied audiences.

• Collaborate with underwriting, finance, product development, and claims teams.

• Lead or serve as a subject matter expert in interdisciplinary projects.

• Recognize opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements in efficiency and accuracy.

• Represent the organization on industry and professional committees.

• Mentor staff and engage in talent selection, development, and performance management decisions.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of actuarial experience.

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation is required.

• Expert-level proficiency in a variety of actuarial techniques.

• Mastery of actuarial practices, including knowledge of industry trends and products.

• Superior analytical skills with the capacity to leverage data for decision-making.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and across multiple departments.

• Expert consultation on regulations, industry trends, and actuarial best practices.

• Technical expertise and mastery in actuarial methodologies.
