πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Perform strategic analysis, pricing evaluations, and peer reviews.

β€’ Develop and maintain tools for planning operations and risk assessment.

β€’ Oversee actuarial requirements and generate actuarial reports that align with corporate strategy.

β€’ Contribute to strategic initiatives and planning within the Medicare sector.

β€’ Own and enhance tools and processes that serve internal stakeholders.

β€’ Review and validate Medicare Advantage bids when qualified for American Academy of Actuaries membership.

β€’ Compute financial results utilizing mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles.

β€’ Create probability tables and regression models from statistical data.

β€’ Investigate and assess the consequences of legislative changes.

β€’ Evaluate and analyze necessary premium rates.

β€’ Review cash reserves and liabilities for forthcoming benefit payouts.

β€’ Analyze data reports, identify patterns and discrepancies, and propose actionable recommendations.

β€’ Establish fair bases for the distribution of insurance benefit funds.

β€’ Generate and update actuarial reports.

β€’ Engage in merger and acquisition evaluations.

β€’ Execute other assigned responsibilities while adhering to policies and standards.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience.

β€’ Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.

β€’ Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

β€’ Experience in healthcare and Medicare Advantage actuarial roles is preferred.

β€’ Familiarity with cost trend analysis and actuarial tool creation is advantageous.

β€’ Proficiency in advanced Excel, including arrays, PivotTables, VBA, and queries.

β€’ SQL skills are required.

β€’ Proficiency in SAS is necessary.

β€’ Ability to effectively utilize AI tools for actuarial analysis and decision-making.

β€’ Strong knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles.

β€’ If qualified for American Academy of Actuaries membership, must be able to review and validate Medicare Advantage bids.
