Junior Actuarial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Support healthcare actuarial analyses under the guidance of actuarial professionals.

• Assist with projections, pricing, reserving, and various analyses utilizing Excel, SAS, Teradata, Tableau, and additional software tools.

• Create and deliver analysis findings to actuarial teams.

• Engage in the development of actuarial models and reports.

• Aid in IBNR estimates, financial reporting, and studies on rate adequacy.

• Investigate and gather information regarding healthcare regulations.

• Evaluate complex healthcare data involving Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and ACO programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related area.

• Must possess strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Candidates must reside in the state of AZ to be eligible.

• Completion of one or more actuarial exams is preferred.

• Familiarity with data-analysis software, such as MS Excel, VBA, SAS, Teradata, R, and Tableau is preferred.
