Actuarial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in value-driven initiatives within the HealthCare Economics team.

• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, analytics, and business teams.

• Create and implement comprehensive modeling solutions from the ground up.

• Develop methodologies and frameworks that underpin performance measurement, financial reconciliation, and strategic decision-making.

• Analyze and project claims and revenue trends.

• Innovate forecasting methodologies.

• Convert complex business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.

• Assess data, identify gaps, propose comprehensive approaches, and create end-to-end solutions.

• Design forecasting methodologies and set reporting metrics.

• Validate the outcomes of models.

• Contribute to the advancement of value-based care analytics.

• Apply departmental, segment, and organizational strategies and objectives to the work.

• Make decisions related to work methods and recommend and implement suitable courses of action with minimal guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Successful completion of a minimum of 3 actuarial exams.

• Proven ability to effectively communicate ideas in both written and spoken formats.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, Databricks, SQL, and VBA.

• Experience in building reports using Excel and Power BI.

• Capability to make recommendations regarding actuarial methodologies.

• Openness to generate and explore ideas for new solutions.

• Required internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for remote work.

• Ability to work from a designated area free from ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
