This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +9 more states.
• Generate sound rate level indicators with a foundational understanding of actuarial ratemaking techniques.
• Assist in the state filing process by preparing actuarial memoranda, filing forms, correspondence with regulators, rate-impact analyses, and documentation.
• Evaluate and confirm proposed rates.
• Extract and compile ratemaking data.
• Conduct intricate frequency and severity trend analyses.
• Streamline and improve processes for enhanced efficiency.
• Support and/or spearhead the creation and design of new plans, programs, processes, and products of moderate complexity.
• Complete pricing initiatives and respond to ad-hoc requests.
• Provide management information for business partners regarding business performance.
• Maintain communication with management and business partners.
• Comply with internal and external regulatory requirements and standards.
• Aid in the development of junior-level personnel.
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience as an actuarial analyst or quantitative pricing analyst, or similar experience; Property & Casualty expertise is essential.
• At least 4 years of experience as a pricing actuarial analyst or quantitative pricing analyst (P&C experience preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/VBA, along with SAS, Python, or SQL is required.
• Successful completion of 5 or more actuarial exams or equivalent knowledge is necessary.
• Must be available to work during Eastern or Central Standard Time hours.
