This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct data analysis utilizing Excel, SAS, and proprietary Milliman software for healthcare consulting purposes.

• Engage in consulting tasks encompassing pricing, reserving, financial forecasting, model creation, and mergers and acquisitions.

• Evaluate the work of colleagues and contribute to research and product development efforts.

• Collaborate with Consultants, Managers, Professional Staff, and Interns as part of a project team to deliver client reports and other outputs.

• Execute technical responsibilities, including data analysis, actuarial calculations, the development and application of actuarial models, and implementation of software solutions.

• Operate across various healthcare sectors such as Medicare Advantage and Part D, Commercial/ACA, Dental, Medicaid, Long Term Care, Pharmacy, and Provider.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field with a quantitative focus.

• ASA designation from the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

• At least 2 years of full-time actuarial experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and actuarial principles.

• Familiarity with SAS, VBA, or other programming languages is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong analytical skills to assess analyses for downstream effects.

• Capacity to fulfill project deliverables, adhere to deadlines, and comply with quality standards.

• Exceptional time management capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.

• Client-oriented and focused on achieving results.

• Eagerness for professional growth within the actuarial profession.

• Proven integrity in all aspects of work.
