This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee comprehensive accounts payable processes, which encompass invoice handling, payment execution, and vendor oversight.
• Ensure accurate processing of vendor invoices and timely payments, adhering to company policies, payment schedules, and internal regulations.
• Conduct weekly payment runs and reconcile invoices utilizing knowledge of expense accounts and departmental allocations.
• Examine invoices, payment requests, and associated documentation for precision, compliance, and proper authorization.
• Address discrepancies and suggest corrective measures.
• Process and categorize employee expense reports, auditing transactions for adherence to policy.
• Handle company credit card transactions with the necessary documentation and appropriate general ledger coding.
• Supervise accounts payable mailboxes, directing, tracking, and resolving inquiries.
• Produce weekly accounts payable status updates.
• Collaborate with both onsite and offshore accounts payable team members.
• Assist in W-9 collection, sales tax compliance, and the issuance of year-end 1099 forms.
• Engage in special projects and other assigned responsibilities.
• Take part in the month-end closing process for various business units.
• Prepare accounts payable journal entries, ensuring accurate general ledger coding, and assist in the monthly closing process.
• Minimum of two years of experience in an accounts payable position.
• A bachelor's degree; an associate's degree in Business or Finance along with relevant accounts payable experience will also be acceptable.
• Knowledge of month-end closing procedures and accrual accounting.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite.
• Strong grasp of year-end 1099 processes and W-9 compliance.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proven track record of following through on commitments.
• Capacity to effectively juggle multiple priorities while delivering timely and high-quality outcomes.
