This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee the complete accounts payable cycle, encompassing invoice processing, payment execution, and vendor relations.
• Accurately process vendor invoices and ensure payments are made promptly in accordance with company policies, payment terms, and internal controls.
• Conduct weekly payment runs and reconcile invoices utilizing knowledge of expense accounts and various departments.
• Review invoices, payment requests, and relevant documentation for precision, compliance, and authorization.
• Address discrepancies and suggest corrective measures.
• Process and categorize employee expense reports while auditing transactions against company policies.
• Handle company credit card transactions with the necessary documentation and general ledger coding.
• Supervise accounts payable mailboxes, managing, tracking, and resolving inquiries.
• Produce weekly accounts payable status reports.
• Collaborate and support both onsite and offshore accounts payable team members.
• Assist with W-9 collection, sales tax compliance, and the issuance of year-end 1099 forms.
• Engage in special projects and perform other assigned tasks.
• Participate in month-end closing for various business units.
• Prepare accounts payable journal entries, ensure accurate general ledger coding, and aid in the monthly closing process.
• Minimum of two years of experience in an accounts payable position.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred; an associate's degree in Business or Finance with relevant accounts payable experience may also be considered.
• Understanding of month-end closing procedures and accrual accounting.
• Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of year-end 1099 processes and W-9 compliance.
• Capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team, with a demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments.
• Proficient in managing multiple priorities and delivering timely, high-quality results.
• Possess a high level of business acumen, discretion, and professionalism.
