Accounts Payable Associate IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the PO Follow Up team for General Motors

• Evaluate open purchase orders and pinpoint outstanding items that need resolution

• Collaborate with plants, suppliers, requestors, and buyers to resolve and finalize open purchase orders

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and payments

• Follow up on pending purchase orders to ensure timely resolution of open issues

• Review accounts payable transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures

• Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding invoice and PO-related concerns

• Maintain precise records and documentation related to purchase orders and accounts payable activities

• Assist with the reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies between purchase orders, receipts, and invoices

• Generate reports and conduct audits to ensure data accuracy and prompt resolution of outstanding items

• Monitor assigned workload and follow up on aging or unresolved items

• Uphold confidentiality of company, supplier, and financial information

• Exhibit a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and customer service

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must possess a High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification

• Experience in fields such as auditing, finance, purchasing, tax, or cost analysis

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and Conditional Formatting

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities

• Capable of managing multiple claim reviews and meeting deadlines independently

• Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes and cost factors such as labor, materials, and profit

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience

• Successful completion of a background check is required

• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounting, purchasing, procurement, or related fields is preferred

• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills

• Must exhibit excellent time management abilities

• Must pass an internet speed test: download ≥25 Mbps, upload ≥5 Mbps, ping ≤175 ms

• Must be able to connect via Ethernet cable to a modem/router

• Must reside in a state where the compensation structure complies with relevant wage regulations
