This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Process vendor invoices and disburse payments, ensuring verification of purchase orders, vendor details, taxes, discounts, and coding.
• Evaluate subcontractor invoices in relation to purchase orders and contracts, confirming costs, retainage, and payment conditions.
• Oversee the complete lien waiver and lien release process, which includes requesting, tracking, reviewing, and collecting necessary documentation.
• Act as the main contact for lien waiver administration.
• Follow up with vendors to address and resolve documentation issues.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances, missing invoices, payment discrepancies, and account-related concerns.
• Research and address complex payment delays by tracing invoices, approvals, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Accounting teams to rectify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records.
• Utilize document management and workflow systems to route invoices and supporting documentation for review and approval.
• Assist in AP automation and process enhancement initiatives.
• Must possess construction or substantial lien waiver experience.
• A minimum of 2 years in a Senior or lead-level accounts payable role.
• At least 2 years of experience in a construction-specific accounts payable setting.
• 2+ years of intermediate experience with Excel.
• Familiarity with construction-focused systems.
• Prior lead-level experience in overseeing accounts payable processes and resolving complex issues.
• Capability to work independently and collaborate within a fast-paced team environment.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and embrace new challenges.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with project, purchasing, and accounting teams, as well as interaction with vendors and subcontractors.
• Interest in supporting and adopting AP automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work within a standard 40-hour work week, primarily on Central Time.
