This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Process vendor invoices and payment disbursements, ensuring the verification of purchase orders, vendor information, taxes, discounts, and coding.
• Review subcontractor invoices against purchase orders and contracts to validate costs, retainage, and payment terms.
• Oversee the complete lien waiver and lien release process, including the request, tracking, review, and collection of necessary documentation.
• Act as the primary contact for lien waiver administration.
• Follow up with vendors to resolve documentation issues, ensuring timely processing of payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances, missing invoices, payment discrepancies, and account issues.
• Research and address complex payment delays by tracing invoices, approvals, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Accounting teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain precise financial records.
• Utilize document management and workflow systems to route invoices and supporting documentation for review and approval.
• Support accounts payable automation and process enhancement initiatives.
• Must possess construction/extensive lien waiver experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a Senior or lead-level accounts payable role.
• 2+ years of extensive experience in a construction-specific accounts payable environment.
• 2+ years of intermediate-level proficiency with Excel.
• Familiarity with construction-focused systems is required.
• Previous lead-level experience providing direct oversight of accounts payable processes and resolving complex issues.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a fast-paced team environment.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and embrace new challenges.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with project, purchasing, and accounting teams, as well as liaise with vendors and subcontractors.
• Interest in supporting and adopting accounts payable automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Capacity to work within a standard 40-hour work week, primarily aligned with Central Time.
