This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Process vendor invoices and payment disbursements while verifying purchase orders, vendor details, taxes, discounts, and coding.
β’ Assess subcontractor invoices against purchase orders and contracts, ensuring costs, retainage, and payment terms are validated.
β’ Oversee the complete lien waiver and lien release process, which includes requesting, tracking, reviewing, and collecting necessary documentation.
β’ Act as the main point of contact for lien waiver management.
β’ Follow up with vendors to resolve documentation issues and guarantee timely processing of payments.
β’ Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances, missing invoices, payment discrepancies, and account-related issues.
β’ Investigate and resolve complex payment delays by tracing invoices, approvals, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
β’ Collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Accounting teams to address discrepancies and uphold accurate financial records.
β’ Utilize document management and workflow systems to route invoices and supporting documents for review and approval.
β’ Assist in AP automation and process improvement initiatives.
β’ Must possess construction/extensive lien waiver experience.
β’ At least 2 years of senior or lead-level accounts payable experience.
β’ Minimum of 2 years of significant experience in a construction-specific accounts payable environment and with lien waivers.
β’ 2+ years of intermediate-level proficiency in Excel.
β’ Familiarity with construction-focused systems.
β’ Previous lead-level experience overseeing accounts payable processes and resolving complex issues directly.
β’ Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team setting.
β’ Eagerness to learn, grow, and embrace new challenges.
β’ Strong communication skills for collaborating with project, purchasing, and accounting teams while liaising with vendors and subcontractors.
β’ Interest in supporting and adopting AP automation and process improvement initiatives.
β’ Availability to work within a standard 40-hour work week.
β’ Location in or near Sacramento, California, USA is required; fully remote work is available.
