This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Handle vendor invoices and payment disbursements, ensuring verification of purchase orders, vendor details, taxes, discounts, and coding.
• Assess subcontractor invoices against purchase orders and contracts, confirming costs, retainage, and payment terms.
• Oversee the complete lien waiver and lien release process, which includes requesting, tracking, reviewing, and gathering necessary documentation.
• Act as the main point of contact for lien waiver management.
• Communicate with vendors, address documentation issues, and guarantee prompt payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances, missing invoices, payment discrepancies, and account problems.
• Research and resolve complicated payment delays by tracing invoices, approvals, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Accounting teams to rectify discrepancies and uphold accurate financial records.
• Utilize document management and workflow systems to route invoices and supporting documents for review and approval.
• Must possess experience in construction and extensive knowledge of lien waivers.
• At least 2 years of senior- or lead-level accounts payable experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of significant experience in a construction-specific accounts payable environment, particularly with lien waivers.
• A minimum of 2 years of intermediate-level proficiency in Excel.
• Familiarity with construction-focused systems is essential.
• Previous lead-level experience overseeing accounts payable processes and resolving complex issues.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaborate within a dynamic team setting.
• Excellent communication skills for partnering with project, purchasing, and accounting teams, as well as liaising with vendors and subcontractors.
• Eagerness to learn, develop, and embrace new challenges.
• Interest in supporting and adopting AP automation and process enhancement initiatives.
• Ability to work within a standard 40-hour work week, primarily on Central Time.
