This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate existing capabilities across personnel, processes, technology, data, governance, and controls, identifying opportunities to enhance the accounting operating model.
• Convert strategic priorities into actionable project plans that include measurable objectives, milestones, dependencies, resource needs, and anticipated business outcomes.
• Streamline, unify, automate, and fortify essential accounting processes, such as record-to-report, financial closing, reconciliations, consolidation, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and other controllership activities.
• Create well-defined roles, responsibilities, policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with accounting leaders to minimize manual processes, enhance close efficiency, and improve the quality and timeliness of financial information.
• Identify and implement automation, analytics, artificial intelligence, and workflow solutions.
• Work alongside Technology and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritize investments, and deploy finance technology solutions.
• Manage projects related to SEC-compliant financial reporting, disclosure processes, close and reporting timelines, supporting documentation, and readiness for reporting governance activities.
• Recognize and assist in addressing gaps that could impact IPO timelines or sustainable public company operations.
• Provide updates to senior leadership regarding transformation priorities, progress, risks, decisions, and resource needs.
• Spearhead change management initiatives and promote the adoption of new processes, technologies, organizational structures, and methodologies.
• Cultivate relationships across various functions and regions while influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Advocate for continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence within the global Accounting organization.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline; CPA is highly preferred.
• Approximately 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, finance transformation, with substantial leadership experience in complex, high-growth organizations.
• Proven experience in leading large-scale Finance or Accounting transformation initiatives that involve multiple functions, geographies, systems, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to redesign and standardize accounting processes and operating models.
• Strong comprehension of finance technology ecosystems, including ERP, consolidation, financial reporting, close management, reconciliation, workflow, automation, and data/analytics solutions.
• Previous experience in public accounting and/or within a large, complex multinational organization is advantageous.
