This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Assist in the execution of the accounting process for the revenue accounting system.
• Facilitate the implementation of revenue recognition for partnership transactions not handled by the revenue system.
• Collaborate with technical accounting, business, and finance teams on business developments that impact revenue system setups and processes.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and global accounting standards.
• Work with business units across the organization to comprehend activities related to games currently in development.
• Address accounting and finance-related concerns while engaging with Business Unit finance teams.
• Support the comprehensive accounting close process for the revenue accounting system.
• Prepare and sustain system configurations.
• Conduct related reconciliations and guarantee SOX compliance.
• Monitor business performance and changes to ensure appropriate accounting system configurations.
• Implement revenue recognition for new partnership transactions and non-routine revenue entries.
• Review contracts and create revenue accounting workbooks and journal entries.
• Prepare accompanying schedules for revenue forecasts in collaboration with Corporate FP&A.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Test upgrades and enhancements of the revenue system.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (B.A./B.S.).
• Over 5 years of professional accounting experience, particularly in revenue recognition.
• Prior experience in managing system data flows and processing high-volume transaction data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles under US GAAP.
• Experience in managing and analyzing extensive data sets.
• Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to analyze financial results and the relationships between accounts and data.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks.
• Proven experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capability to work under tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Familiarity with Oracle eBusiness Suite or a similar ERP system is a plus.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Looker, OBIEE Answers, and Hyperion is an additional advantage.
• Experience using Zuora Revenue Recognition software is a bonus.
• Prior experience with revenue recognition in the gaming industry is a bonus.
• CPA is preferred but not mandatory.
