This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise designated segments of the general ledger and ensure a precise, timely, and well-regulated closing process.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures for assigned areas in accordance with established accounting policies and U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and evaluate journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze account activities and variances, investigate discrepancies, and facilitate the resolution of accounting challenges.
• Collaborate with the Senior Accounting Manager to set priorities, coordinate deliverables, and communicate risks, resource requirements, and issues related to the closing process.
• Provide mentorship and review assistance to team members in the accounting department.
• Enhance accounting procedures, documentation, and internal controls.
• Work alongside the Controllership team and cross-functional associates on financial reporting, audit requests, system implementations, and various projects.
• Assist in M&A integration efforts, which includes aligning accounting processes, reconciling balances, and transitioning closing responsibilities.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger accounting and month-end closures.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, including SOX compliance.
• Proven experience in reviewing accounting deliverables and leading closing activities, projects, or team members.
• Capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear and effective communication skills with a collaborative approach to inter-departmental work.
• A hands-on attitude and readiness to take ownership of ongoing responsibilities and new projects.
• Demonstrated sound judgment, integrity, and discretion when managing confidential information.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Google Workspace, and FloQast is preferred.
