Accounting Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and evaluate financial statements, reports, and records for designated books of business or companies.

• Review, test, and confirm accounting impacts resulting from system modifications.

• Investigate accounting issues and offer recommendations and solutions.

• Generate and manage deviation analysis reports for balance sheets and operating results.

• Provide support to business units, states, and actuarial functions as assigned.

• Create reports and statements for state and regulatory submissions.

• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger entries.

• Identify necessary adjustments and corrective measures, and prepare reconciliation documentation.

• Complete various special projects and additional tasks as assigned.

• Promote safety and adhere to safety/ergonomic standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Clear vision, with or without corrective lenses, to read and verify information visually.

• Adequate hearing, with or without assistance, to communicate with colleagues, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds critical for ensuring safety and productivity.

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods, up to a full shift.

• Ability to occasionally move, push, pull, lift, carry, and/or place objects or materials weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

• Ability to frequently engage in typing, mousing, or writing activities, up to a full shift.

• Ability to occasionally navigate stairs, ramps, and both level and uneven surfaces.

• Ability to perform infrequent bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees.
