Senior Accounting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create documentation templates and establish protocols.

• Participate in and record notes from executive-level meetings.

• Conduct accounting research as required.

• Prepare presentations for client management.

• Formulate templates and a repository for policies and procedures.

• Create or update accounting policies, procedures, and process maps.

• Conduct walk-through interviews with process owners.

• Design financial management dashboards, determining content and collaborating with subject matter experts.

• Create presentation templates along with graphic design tools and guidance.

• Develop training materials and sessions.

• Collaborate closely with the client, Program Manager, and subject matter experts to implement the program.

• Assist the client in maintaining compliance with accounting, financial management, and reporting standards.

• Keep track of SFFAS and Treasury financial management policies.

• Produce financial data visualizations, dashboards, presentations, white papers, and graphic design support for financial reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• At least 3 years of experience in federal accounting or federal financial statement audits.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A self-motivated individual who excels in a high-ownership environment.

• Capable of obtaining a Public Trust clearance.

• CPA or CGFM certification is a plus.
