This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage month-end closing activities, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
• Examine journal entries and prepare intricate general ledger entries as required
• Analyze accounts payable expenditures and cash flow projections
• Assess balance sheet account reconciliations across various business units, which include inventory, revenue, payroll liabilities, capitalized labor, ROU assets, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, and prepayments
• Collaborate with FP&A on budgets, forecasts, and allocation strategies
• Provide training and mentorship to staff while ensuring proper documentation of accounting thresholds, adjustments, and new GAAP standards
• Recognize opportunities for process enhancements and support business acquisitions and new initiatives
• Stay updated on emerging US GAAP standards and aid in their implementation
• Analyze financial outcomes for efficiencies and establish internal controls to minimize payment errors, duplicate payments, and fraudulent activities
• Review customer contracts to ensure consistent revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP ASC 606
• Prepare and review materials for audits, including accounting memos, audit schedules, and statutory audit documentation
• Manage PBC requests and follow up on audit-related issues
• Assist with strategic initiatives such as system implementations, integrations, and acquisitions
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager
• 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting or finance
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Exceptional time management and organizational abilities
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills
• Capability to process and analyze extensive amounts of qualitative and quantitative data
• Ability to manage complex reporting, tight deadlines, and competing priorities
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting best practices, with an emphasis on inventory accounting and US standards
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership
• Experience working with FP&A on government accounting requests, payroll data reconciliations, and audit support
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth environment
• Willingness to assist and mentor junior team members while functioning effectively in a team-oriented setting
• Strong understanding of integrated business processes within an ERP context
• Proven leadership skills with experience in team development and cross-functional relationship building
