
Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting – Expense Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee essential accounting functions encompassing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, General Ledger activities, and reconciliations.
• Track crucial financial indicators, pinpoint emerging risks and trends, and deliver timely insights to the Controller and senior leadership.
• Guide and develop the accounting operations team through coaching, mentorship, and clear guidance.
• Enhance AP, AR, and procurement processes as the organization expands.
• Propel process improvement and automation to optimize accounting workflows, strengthen systems, enhance data integrity, and boost operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Controller, Senior Manager of Treasury & Tax, Senior Director of FP&A, Procurement, and business leaders.
• Deliver financial analysis and reporting to the Executive Team, Senior Leadership Team, Product Line Owners, and other stakeholders.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, including prior leadership roles in a more mature or established organization.
• Proven leadership in expense operations and procurement.
• Strong practical knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, procurement processes, and financial controls.
• Demonstrated experience in people leadership, fostering accountable, high-performing teams.
• Experience in establishing clear ownership, priorities, and workflows.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with internal business stakeholders, sponsors, and external vendors.
• Experience in nurturing collaborative partnerships, influencing across functions, and delivering exceptional service.
• Background in building and scaling processes within a growing organization.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of identifying efficiencies, streamlining workflows, leveraging technology or automation, and enhancing financial operations.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Ability to convert financial information into practical insights and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
• CPA designation and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience is an asset.
• Proficient English communication skills are required.
• Eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus in addition to the base salary.
