This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise month-end closing activities, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Examine journal entries and prepare intricate general ledger entries as necessary.
• Analyze accounts payable expenditures and cash flow projections.
• Review balance sheet account reconciliations across various business units and create complex reconciliations when required.
• Collaborate with FP&A on budgets, forecasts, and allocation strategies.
• Guide and mentor staff, ensuring that accounting process documentation is disseminated throughout the business.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and integrate newly acquired businesses.
• Keep abreast of emerging US GAAP standards and assist in data collection and implementation.
• Evaluate financial outcomes for efficiencies and establish internal controls to reduce payment errors, duplicate payments, and fraud.
• Assess customer contracts to ensure consistent revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606).
• Prepare and review audit support materials, accounting memos, audit schedules, and PBC requests; assist with statutory audits and follow up on audit-related issues.
• Aid in strategic initiatives, including system implementations, integrations, and acquisitions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
• A decade of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum focus on accounting or finance.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to process and analyze large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Proficient in managing complex reporting, tight deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting best practices, including inventory accounting and US standards.
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership.
• Background in partnering with FP&A on government accounting requests, payroll data reconciliations, and audit support.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
• Willingness to support and mentor junior team members while effectively functioning in a team-oriented environment.
• Solid understanding of integrated business processes in an enterprise software environment (ERP).
• Proven leadership skills and experience in developing teams and nurturing cross-functional relationships.
