Senior Accountant, Primary Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute general accounting duties, which include the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements.

• Generate balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules.

• Document various accounting projects.

• Prepare, record, analyze, and report on accounting transactions.

• Ensure the integrity, completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all accounting records.

• Provide financial support by forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variances in the budget.

• Analyze and prepare financial statements and reports.

• Influence strategic decisions within the department.

• Make decisions regarding technical methodologies for project components.

• Report directly to an Accounting Lead.

• Operate as an individual contributor.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training sessions or meetings as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

• A minimum of five years of experience in an accounting or finance position.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Expertise in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting is preferred.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.

• Familiarity with SQL and Snowflake is preferred.

• Experience working with PowerBI is preferred.

• Previous experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.

• Minimum internet speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload are required for home or hybrid employees.

• A dedicated workspace free from interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information is essential.
