This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Execute and support daily accounting operations

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and unusual transactions in accounting

• Maintain documentation and supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts

• Prepare financial schedules, analyses, financial statements, reporting packages, variance analyses, and audit schedules

• Implement internal control activities and assist with SOX compliance and control testing

• Respond to requests from internal and external auditors and aid during audits

• Support accounting systems, ERP processes, reporting tools, system enhancements, automation, and process improvements

• Assist in the transition of accounting functions from shared services and TSA exit activities

• Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Procurement, HR, and IT departments

• Partner with the Accounting Manager and the wider Finance team to ensure precise reporting, robust controls, and efficient processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of accounting experience

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SOX controls, and financial reporting standards

• Experience in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations

• Familiarity with month-end closing processes

• Proficient in working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• CPA is preferred; CPA candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

• Advanced skills in Excel

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
