This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute advanced tasks and analyses for monthly and quarterly financial reporting for US business units, concentrating on finished goods, obsolescence, COGS, and reserve models.
• Carry out monthly closing activities, which include preparing or posting journal entries and overseeing sub-ledger interfaces.
• Analyze, prepare, and ensure timely submission of close-related deliverables.
• Conduct accounting and financial analyses pertaining to label artist and copyright royalty expenses.
• Guarantee that royalty assets and liabilities are represented in compliance with GAAP.
• Review tasks performed by staff and journal preparation processes.
• Ensure adherence to SOX requirements.
• Support the documentation process for internal and external audits.
• Foster relationships with finance personnel from domestic and international affiliates, business units, and other divisions of WMG.
• Undertake cross-functional or cross-departmental responsibilities as required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5-6 years of experience in Shared Service or Corporate Accounting.
• Proficiency and experience with SAP.
• Background in a Shared Services environment.
• Experience in a SOX controlled environment.
• Familiarity with conducting internal and external audits.
• Experience with flux analysis and SEC reporting.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Skills in problem solving, decision making, and continuous process improvement.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
