Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support and contribute to the expansion of accounting functions to facilitate company growth.

• Take a pivotal role in the month-end closing process by managing designated closing areas.

• Prepare journal entries along with balance sheet reconciliations.

• Assist in conducting fluctuation analyses and other evaluations to improve financial reporting controls.

• Uphold and enhance internal controls concerning financial reporting.

• Document procedures to ensure consistent and repeatable execution throughout the closing cycle.

• Collaborate with FP&A, AP, Payroll, International Accounting, and Tax teams to guarantee an accurate and timely close.

• Aid in fulfilling external and statutory audit requests.

• Support various ad hoc projects, including system implementations, process enhancements, and the integration of acquired entities.

• Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the closing process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting.

• A minimum of four (4) years of accounting experience in a combination of corporate settings and a large public accounting firm.

• At least one year of experience working within a corporate accounting team on month-end closings.

• Proven experience managing full-cycle closing processes.

• CPA certification or CPA candidate status.

• Strong technical and analytical capabilities, including a solid understanding of US GAAP.

• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and lookups.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.

• Capability to take ownership of responsibilities and meet critical deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable large ERP system.

• Familiarity with close management software such as FloQast or BlackLine.

• Experience in the Technology/SaaS industry is advantageous.
