Senior Accountant – Head of Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for the accounting function across various business entities.

• Ensure financial records in QuickBooks are accurate and current.

• Manage general accounting operations, including financial reporting and account reconciliations.

• Guarantee the accuracy and consistency of financial data across different business entities.

• Recognize and initiate enhancements to accounting workflows and processes.

• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

• Keep well-organized records of all incoming and outgoing payments.

• Track financial transactions to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

• Detect discrepancies and address accounting issues promptly.

• Handle accounting operations for e-commerce businesses across various companies and sales channels.

• Assist in financial reporting and reconciliation for Amazon-based businesses and other e-commerce activities.

• Enhance financial visibility across business entities and various revenue streams.

• Work closely with Engineering and Machine Learning teams to design and refine cash flow forecasting systems.

• Aid in the development and optimization of financial tools, reporting systems, and automation processes.

• Identify chances to enhance forecasting accuracy and financial planning efforts.

• Translate accounting and financial requirements into actionable insights for technical teams.

• Analyze financial data to enhance cash flow management and overall financial transparency.

• Create and implement efficient accounting workflows.

• Fortify financial processes and systems as the business expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of pertinent accounting experience.

• Previous roles as Head of Accounting, Accounting Manager, Lead Accountant, Financial Controller, or as the sole accountant managing a company's accounting operations.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.

• Practical experience in independently managing accounting operations.

• Background in overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Experience in handling financial records for multiple business entities.

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to fully own accounting operations and work autonomously.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Proactive approach focused on financial accuracy, process enhancement, and operational efficiency.

• Solid experience in e-commerce accounting, particularly in businesses with intricate financial operations.

• Experience in managing accounting for Amazon-related businesses.

• Have served as the accounting lead for a private-label brand that generates a significant portion of its revenue through Amazon, TikTok Shop, Meta, or similar e-commerce platforms.

• Experience collaborating with software engineers or technical teams to create financial systems.

• Familiarity with financial automation and cash flow forecasting tools.

• Proven track record in improving financial reporting processes and accounting workflows.

• Experience supporting businesses that operate across multiple e-commerce platforms.
