Revenue Accounting & Controls Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the accuracy, completeness, and financial reporting related to healthcare services revenue and accounts receivable.

• Ensure a precise and dependable monthly closing process.

• Serve as the independent auditor for the outsourced revenue cycle management partner.

• Monitor contractual SLAs, payment posting accuracy, and timelines for claims.

• Address and resolve performance remediation issues effectively.

• Examine unbilled services, underpayments, claim denials, and reimbursement delays.

• Convert complex billing data into actionable solutions for root causes.

• Collaborate with operational and technology teams to enhance cash conversion.

• Identify gaps in integration between RCM systems and NetSuite.

• Design, construct, and implement automated reconciliation models, dashboards, and internal controls.

• Minimize manual intervention and improve audit readiness.

• Collaborate across finance, technology, and operations to enhance cash conversion and develop scalable reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, particularly focused on healthcare revenue and complex accounts receivable controls.

• Technical knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers), healthcare reimbursement models, and insurance claim-level mechanics.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and contemporary financial reporting tools.

• Experience with NetSuite, Power BI, or directly querying data using SQL to analyze complex billing databases is highly preferred.

• Direct experience overseeing financial performance and SLA compliance for external vendors or outsourced providers.

• Proactive and hands-on approach to billing data and collaboration across functions.

• CPA certification is highly preferred.

• Background in outpatient healthcare or the physical therapy industry is highly preferred.
