Cost Accounting Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of inventory, fixed asset, and COGS accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

• Develop and expand the cost accounting function in preparation for an IPO.

• Maintain and enhance standard costs, updates, and cost roll-ups.

• Evaluate manufacturing variances and collaborate with Operations on corrective actions.

• Lead COGS and margin reporting, providing insights on drivers to the leadership team.

• Collaborate across functions with Supply Chain, Sales, and R&D to ensure accurate and scalable financial reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is highly preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience in manufacturing or hardware cost accounting.

• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP principles related to inventory, fixed assets, and COGS.

• Proficiency in standard costing, variance analysis, and cost roll-ups.

• Ability to convert activities from Supply Chain, Sales, and R&D into precise financial outcomes.

• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology; employment may depend on citizenship/permanent residency status or prior license approval.
