📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Controller to manage entries associated with cemetery and funeral home locations.

• Oversee a segment of the accounting closing process.

• Record daily cash deposits and expenditures.

• Ensure that cash entries are posted accurately and in a timely manner.

• Address discrepancies within cash general ledger accounts.

• Maintain additional general ledger accounts effectively.

• Prepare monthly accruals and recurring journal entries.

• Collaborate with team members to uphold subledgers.

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.

• Conduct additional monthly and quarterly reconciliations.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports.

• Support internal and external audit processes.

• Compile audit documentation and respond to inquiries.

• Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes utilizing accounting software and systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or accounting-related field.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong, hands-on experience with US GAAP (required).

• Experience in multi-entity accounting, including intercompany and consolidation (required).

• Proficient in advanced Excel skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Availability to work during US hours.
