This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Take ownership of and cultivate relationships with key merchants throughout the entire client lifecycle.
• Oversee the onboarding, integration, and go-live processes in collaboration with technical and operational teams.
• Gain a thorough understanding of clients' business models, payment processes, market environments, and growth objectives.
• Propel upselling, cross-selling, and processing volume growth within the existing portfolio.
• Spot opportunities to introduce new payment methods, markets, currencies, and platform functionalities.
• Track payment performance indicators, including authorization/approval rates, conversion rates, declines, and chargebacks, while identifying areas for improvement.
• Develop account enhancement plans and conduct regular business reviews with merchants.
• Ensure client retention and take proactive measures to manage commercial and operational risks within the portfolio.
• Coordinate the resolution of payment, operational, and integration issues with internal teams.
• Provide structured feedback from merchants to Product and Technology teams.
• Potentially lead, mentor, and develop Account Managers.
• Establish processes for Account Management, including KPIs and portfolio management standards.
• Allocate accounts and define account segmentation and prioritization.
• Create a systematic approach to retention, upselling, and cross-selling across the merchant portfolio.
• Monitor both team and portfolio performance.
• Collaborate closely with the CRO on revenue targets and account growth strategies.
• Expand and retain the current merchant portfolio while establishing a structured and scalable Account Management function.
• Extensive experience in Account Management or Key Account Management within the payments sector, including PSP, acquiring, payment gateways, or payment orchestration.
• Background with digital merchants, particularly in subscription businesses, mobile applications, SaaS, or recurring payment models.
• Strong comprehension of online payment processes and performance metrics.
• Demonstrated commercial experience in account growth, upselling, and cross-selling.
• Previous team leadership experience is highly valued, although strong Senior Account Managers seeking to transition into a leadership role will also be considered.
• Excellent analytical, commercial, and relationship management capabilities.
• Proficient in effective communication with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English.
