Senior Account Manager – Group Benefits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for designated employee benefits clients on a daily basis.

• Handle client inquiries concerning benefits, eligibility, enrollment, billing, claims, and coverage-related questions.

• Execute policy modifications, enrollments, terminations, reinstatements, and other service requests.

• Collaborate with carriers and vendors to address client issues and fulfill service expectations.

• Assist with renewals by collecting information, preparing materials, coordinating timelines, and aiding with client presentations.

• Examine plan documents, applications, and policy details for accuracy and thoroughness.

• Keep precise client records, documentation, activities, and communications within agency management systems.

• Aid in the preparation for open enrollment, employee communications, and client meetings.

• Recognize opportunities to strengthen client relationships through proactive service, education, and additional coverage solutions.

• Work alongside Producers, Account Executives, carriers, and internal teams to support client retention and growth objectives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Employee Benefits account management or client service is preferred.

• Background in an insurance agency, brokerage, carrier, or benefits consulting environment is desirable.

• Active Life & Health Insurance License is preferred (or willingness to obtain one).

• Strong knowledge of group benefits products, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities, deadlines, and client needs in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on relationship-building and problem-solving.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.

• Comfortable with learning and utilizing technology platforms and agency management systems.

• Positive, team-oriented approach with a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
