
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Support and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, discharge pathway assistance, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers to drive sales.
• Create, implement, and execute comprehensive territory business plans.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information within the relevant disease state and approved product area.
• Present approved-product sales presentations to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Work alongside Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet sales targets and maximize sales by prioritizing high-value customers and growth opportunities.
• Achieve hospital formulary wins and convert market access accomplishments into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in discussions that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Coordinate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to facilitate patient access and continuity of therapy.
• Identify and resolve barriers to product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the territory budget and complete administrative tasks efficiently.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• At least 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight travel.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Experience in anti-infective products is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Proven experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to formulate actionable business plans.
• Capability to adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling abilities, coupled with strong business acumen.
