
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Support and enhance formulary access, ensure readiness for protocols and order sets, assist with discharge pathways, and generate demand across designated hospital accounts.
• Engage with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and decision-makers in Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) to drive sales.
• Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive business plan for the territory.
• Manage relationships with hospitals and comprehend customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information regarding the relevant disease state and approved product.
• Deliver approved product sales presentations to physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Utilize and manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Achieve and surpass territory sales targets.
• Secure victories in hospital formularies and translate market access success into prescribing and utilization.
• Involve stakeholders in discussions that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and address obstacles affecting product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze trends in utilization, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the budget for the territory.
• Complete administrative duties and implement the company's brand strategy and tactics.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Maintain adherence to corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• 3+ years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight travel.
• Ability to lift and/or transport up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated success in driving demand generation within hospitals.
• Anti-infective experience is preferred.
• Expertise in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience in engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in analyzing data and trends to formulate actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions.
• Proven ability to adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills, combined with strong business acumen.
