This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Facilitate and enhance formulary access, protocol and order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
• Interact with infectious disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers.
• Create, implement, and execute a cohesive territory business plan.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Offer scientific and clinical information regarding the disease state and approved products.
• Conduct sales presentations for physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other relevant personnel.
• Leverage and manage resources to maximize customer engagement.
• Work collaboratively with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales targets within the designated territory.
• Achieve formulary wins and convert market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in conversations regarding patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Promote collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve obstacles affecting product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and enhance customer coverage.
• Organize educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, and market dynamics.
• Provide input on marketing strategies and develop territory plans in conjunction with sales and brand teams.
• Oversee the territory budget and fulfill administrative duties.
• Engage in training and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• 3+ years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight travel.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent track record of top-tier sales performance and proven success in product launches.
• Demonstrated success in driving demand generation within hospitals.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Skill in analyzing data and trends to develop actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability to shifting market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills, along with strong business acumen.
