This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Support and enhance formulary access, ensure protocol and order set readiness, assist with discharge pathways, and drive demand generation in targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to boost sales.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights related to the disease state and approved product area.
• Present approved-product sales pitches to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Create, implement, and execute integrated territory business strategies.
• Work alongside Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales objectives within the designated territory.
• Achieve formulary wins in hospitals and translate market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage with pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
• Foster collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and tackle barriers affecting product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics and maximize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker engagements, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, and local market dynamics.
• Provide input on marketing strategies and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the territory budget effectively.
• Complete administrative responsibilities and implement company brand strategies and tactics.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• At least 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory, including overnight travel.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Proven success in driving demand generation within hospital settings.
• Preferred experience in Anti-Infective fields.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Capability to analyze data and trends to formulate actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills, combined with strong business acumen.
