
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Support and enhance formulary access, ensure protocol and order set readiness, assist with discharge pathways, and generate demand across targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales efforts.
• Create, implement, and execute comprehensive territory business plans.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights within the relevant disease state and approved product area.
• Present approved-product sales and detailed clinical brand presentations.
• Utilize and manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Work in partnership with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and various cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and exceed sales targets within the designated territory.
• Achieve formulary successes and translate market access accomplishments into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in discussions regarding patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and reducing readmissions.
• Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and mitigate barriers affecting product adoption.
• Strategically plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Understand healthcare delivery systems, physician hierarchies, pharmacy personnel, and clinical nursing staff within assigned accounts.
• Enhance product and account knowledge while monitoring market trends.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, and local market dynamics.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Share best practices with fellow sales peers.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategies and analyze sales activities and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the territory budget effectively.
• Complete administrative responsibilities and execute the company’s brand strategy and tactics.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• At least 3 years of experience working with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent track record of top-tier sales performance and proven success in product launches.
• Demonstrated ability to generate demand within hospitals.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• Extensive knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Skill in analyzing data and trends to create actionable business plans.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and sales skills, combined with strong business acumen.
