This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Support and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, assistance with discharge pathways, and demand generation within targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to boost sales.
• Create, implement, and execute a comprehensive territory business plan.
• Foster hospital relationships while recognizing customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights regarding the disease state and approved products.
• Present sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other clinical personnel.
• Optimize customer engagement through effective resource management.
• Work in conjunction with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass territory sales targets while maximizing opportunities with high-value customers.
• Achieve formulary wins and convert market access success into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in conversations about patient identification, treatment options, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and reducing readmissions.
• Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to facilitate patient access and continuity of therapy.
• Identify and resolve barriers to product adoption.
• Strategize activities and optimize call coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker engagements, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Share successful practices with sales colleagues.
• Provide marketing feedback, assess sales activity and territory performance, and develop territory strategies.
• Manage the territory budget and fulfill administrative responsibilities.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry regulations and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• At least 3 years of experience working with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the designated region, including overnight trips.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Preferred: Proven history of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Preferred: Demonstrated effectiveness in driving demand generation within hospital settings.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing intricate sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making mechanisms.
• Experience in engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to perform effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Competence in analyzing data and trends to formulate actionable business strategies.
• Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Outstanding presentation and sales skills, coupled with strong business insight.
