This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Facilitate and enhance formulary access, ensure protocol and order set readiness, provide support for discharge pathways, and drive demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to boost sales.
• Create, implement, and execute a comprehensive business plan for the territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Offer scientific and clinical information pertaining to the disease state and approved product areas.
• Present approved-product sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Manage resources efficiently to enhance customer engagement.
• Work alongside Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional team members.
• Meet and surpass territory sales goals and capitalize on high-value customer opportunities.
• Achieve formulary victories in hospitals and translate market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in conversations around patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and reducing readmissions.
• Partner with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to support patient access and therapy continuity.
• Identify and resolve barriers hindering product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze trends in utilization, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory strategies with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget.
• Complete administrative duties and implement company brand strategies within the designated area.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and regulations.
• BA/BS degree from a recognized institution.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industries.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned area, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Proven success in generating demand within hospitals.
• Experience in the Anti-Infective sector preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• Extensive knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational frameworks, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leaders.
• Background in collaboration across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team.
• Skill in analyzing data and trends to formulate actionable business strategies.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
• Proven ability to adhere to all regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Outstanding presentation and selling abilities, coupled with strong business acumen.
