This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Support and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, discharge pathway assistance, and demand generation across designated hospital accounts.
• Engage with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales.
• Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive business plan for the territory.
• Manage relationships with hospitals while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information relevant to the disease state and approved products.
• Deliver sales presentations to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Leverage and manage resources to enhance customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Achieve and surpass sales targets within the designated territory.
• Secure hospital formulary wins and translate market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in discussions that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and address obstacles impacting product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the territory budget.
• Complete administrative responsibilities and implement the company brand strategy and tactics.
• Participate in training and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• 3+ years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight travel.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated success in driving demand generation within hospitals.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Expertise in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to develop actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions.
• Proven ability to adhere to all regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills, along with strong business acumen.
