This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Facilitate and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, support for discharge pathways, and generate demand within targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales initiatives.
• Design, implement, and execute comprehensive business plans for the territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding the needs and priorities of customers.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights regarding the disease state and the approved product.
• Present sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other clinical personnel.
• Allocate resources efficiently to enhance customer engagement.
• Partner with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet sales objectives and focus on high-value customers and growth potential.
• Achieve formulary successes and convert market access accomplishments into prescribing and utilization.
• Involve stakeholders in discussions that promote patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers affecting product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker engagements, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Evaluate utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the territory budget effectively.
• Execute administrative responsibilities and implement company brand strategies and tactics.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid driver's license is necessary.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sector.
• At least 3 years of experience working with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned area, including overnight trips.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent record of high-level sales performance and demonstrated success with product launches.
• Proven success in driving demand generation within hospital settings.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leaders.
• Experience in collaboration across hospital and community care environments.
• Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to develop actionable business plans.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Excellent presentation and selling skills, along with strong business acumen.
