This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Support and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, discharge pathway assistance, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
• Engage with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers to drive sales.
• Develop, implement, and execute integrated business plans for the territory.
• Manage relationships with hospitals while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights within the relevant disease state and approved product area.
• Deliver sales and comprehensive clinical brand presentations to healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, peers, brand teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Achieve and surpass territory sales targets and maximize sales opportunities.
• Secure hospital formulary wins and translate market access achievements into prescribing and utilization.
• Assist in patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, readmission reduction, patient access, and therapy continuity.
• Identify and mitigate barriers to product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Understand healthcare delivery systems, physician hierarchies, pharmacy personnel, and clinical nursing staff within assigned accounts.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, and local market dynamics.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategies and territory performance.
• Manage the territory budget and fulfill administrative responsibilities.
• Participate in training and development initiatives while maintaining corporate and industry compliance.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight stays.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• Knowledge of Health Systems business models, organizational structures, stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to develop actionable business plans.
• Capability to adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
