This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +2 more states.
• Assist in enhancing formulary access, ensuring protocol and order set readiness, supporting discharge pathways, and generating demand within targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to boost sales.
• Create, execute, and implement a comprehensive business plan for the territory.
• Cultivate relationships with hospitals while understanding the needs and priorities of customers.
• Provide scientific and clinical information related to the disease state and approved products.
• Present sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Optimize customer engagement through effective resource management.
• Work in conjunction with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales targets for the territory.
• Secure formulary wins for hospitals and convert market access achievements into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in conversations about patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and reducing readmissions.
• Foster collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers that affect product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics and enhance customer coverage.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, gather customer insights, and assess local market dynamics.
• Provide insights on marketing strategies and develop plans for the territory.
• Oversee the territory budget and manage administrative responsibilities.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• 3+ years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the designated geography, including overnight trips.
• Capacity to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of exceptional sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated ability to drive demand generation within hospitals.
• Anti-infective experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing intricate sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience interacting with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to formulate actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with all regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Outstanding presentation and selling skills, combined with strong business acumen.
